A group of new White House lawyers includes attorneys from White & Case and Husch Blackwell, according to the latest personnel announcement from the Trump administration.

The White House counsel's office, led by Pat Cipollone, has said it was staffing up as the administration prepares to fight newly empowered U.S. House Democrats over a host of issues.

House Democrats are demanding information about whether and how often the Trump White House issued security clearances over officials' denials, and they want access to Trump's tax returns, which the then-candidate had vowed to release.
