Squire Patton Boggs is boosting its intellectual property and technology practice with the addition of Victoria Smith. The former Perkins Coie partner has a computer science background and has litigated dozens of patent infringement cases in federal courts across the nation, the USPTO’s Patent Trial and Appeals Board, and the U.S. International Trade Commission. Smith focuses on industries such as telecommunications, electronics, software and biotech and pharmaceuticals.

Fabio Marino joined Womble Bond Dickinson‘s Silicon Valley office in its patent prosecution and litigation group. The partner joins the firm from Polsinelli. Marino specializes in high-stakes patent, trade secrets, and copyright cases, including those focusing on computer-related technologies. Marino also expands the firm’s expertise with evaluating and negotiating third-party-funded litigation agreements in the patent litigation space, as well as appealing to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
