Despite record profits among the country’s largest firms, summer recruiting and hiring at law schools saw a dip amid uncertainty in the pandemic, according to the National Association for Law Placement.

The median number of offers extended by firms dropped from 11 in last year’s report—many of those hires having been made before the pandemic hit—to 8. The number of 3Ls recruited fell from 15 to 12.
