The complaint alleges that the song incorporates copyrighted elements of 'Samir’s Theme' by musician Debonair Samir and therefore constitutes an infringement of the plaintiff’s registered work. Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan partner Stephen A Broome has entered an appearance for Snowflake, a cloud data platform, in a pending data breach class action. The action, filed Aug. 5 in California Central District Court by Francis Mailman Soumilas; Laukaitis Law; and Kohn, Swift & Graf, is part of a string of cases arising from a massive data breach targeting Snowflake and impacting customer data held by Ticketmaster and other significant Snowflake customers. Aetna Life Insurance Co. has retained attorney William B. Wahlheim Jr. of Maynard Nexsen PC to defend a pending ERISA lawsuit.
