Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday moved for a new trial and renewed his motion for judgment as a matter of law in a defamation lawsuit filed by author E. Jean Carroll, weeks after a Manhattan federal jury awarded $83 million to Carroll.

Trump’s attorneys Alina Habba and Michael Madaio of Habba Madaio & Associates and John Sauer and William O. Scharf of the Missouri-based James Otis Law Group argued that the trial’s “outcome was infected by two related errors.”
