U.S. District Judge Carol Bagley Amon of the Eastern District of New York has dismissed champion horse-racing trainer Bob Baffert’s lawsuit against the New York Racing Association, clearing the way for the state racing organization to proceed with its effort to prevent Baffert from entering horses in races in the state.

New York’s racing regulatory body on Monday began conducting an administrative hearing on the Baffert matter, with retired New York Supreme Court Justice O. Peter Sherwood presiding in Greenberg Traurig’s Manhattan offices.
