Singapore and Japan’s two major mediation institutions have agreed on a new set of procedures to mediate cross-border disputes faster and more cost-efficiently during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Singapore International Mediation Centre and the Japan International Mediation Center are now implementing a joint COVID-19 protocol* that’s designed to facilitate an expedited resolution of disputes related to both countries, which share increasingly close trade and commercial ties.
