In a new legal attack on a mandate some pharmacists say is unconstitutional, a public interest group has sued in federal court to abolish an Illinois rule requiring pharmacies to fill prescriptions for emergency contraception. The American Center for Legal Justice, a group founded by evangelist Pat Robertson, filed the suit Monday in federal court. Although it mirrors some claims in lawsuits filed in state court challenging the rule, it is the first federal suit, said the group's senior counsel.
