Under the deal, Disney will obtain the rights to Marvel characters such as the Hulk, Spiderman, Iron Man and X-Men?prized content for its movies, comic books, television shows, licensed merchandise and theme parks. Also, BB&T Corporation has purchased Montgomery, Alabama- based Colonial Bank from the FDIC, acquiring $22 billion in assets and $20 billion in deposits. Colonial was seized by the FDIC last month, making it the largest of 81 U.S. bank failures so far in 2009.
