Abuse trial nets plaintiff $580K

Following a four-day trial in which he represented himself, a man sued over beating and kicking his ex-wife in front of their two small children has been ordered by a Fulton County jury to pay $580,000. Plaintiffs lawyer Keegan Federal, above, said he was concerned the jury could find sympathy for a defendant without a lawyer, but the judge gave the man plenty of guidance.
