A $1.575 million settlement was reached on April 17 in Sussex County case Rigotty v. All American Landscaping for a woman who sustained leg and ankle injuries when she slipped and fell on ice on a stairway in front of her townhouse residence.

Sharon Rigotty, a 47-year-old Vernon woman, was injured as a result of a fall on Dec. 3, 2019, on the front steps of her residence. More than a foot of snow and ice accumulated during a storm that ended the day before Rigotty fell, and she alleged that defendants All-American Landscaping and the Stonehill Property Owner’s Association negligently failed to timely and safely clear the exterior walkways and stairs serving her residence.
