The New Jersey Supreme Court has ordered jury trials suspended amid the worsening conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Criminal and civil jury trials and in-person grand jury sessions will stop under the Supreme Court order, issued Monday. One in-person jury trial in progress will be allowed to continue. Two ongoing jury selections may continue through the virtual phase of selection but shall not proceed to the in-person phase of selection, and selections for new in-person jury trials are suspended pending further order.
