Johnson & Johnson has asked the Missouri Supreme Court to review a record $4.7 billion talcum powder verdict after an appeals court refused to toss the 2018 award.

In a court document filed Wednesday, Johnson & Johnson is turning to Missouri’s highest court, which last year sided with the company in another talcum powder case and halted planned trials that featured 13 and 24 women at a time. The case now before the court involves 22 women, or their spouses, alleging they got ovarian cancer after using Johnson & Johnson’s talcum powder products.
