Practice Profile: Jessica Ortiz represents companies and individuals in high stakes civil litigation and white collar criminal and regulatory investigations and enforcement actions brought by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission and other federal and state regulators. She is also called upon to conduct corporate internal investigations. She previously worked as chief of the narcotics unit in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. Ortiz led 15 jury trials to conviction including a RICO enterprise trial stemming from a 76-defendant prosecution.

Leadership, Pro Bono and Civic Work: Ortiz serves on the New York City Bar Association’s White Collar Crime Committee as well as the Federal Bar Council’s Federal Criminal Practice Committee.  She is a member of the Women’s White Collar Defense Association and serves on the Branding Subcommittee of the Development Committee.  She is serving as the Chair of the Lideres Board for LatinoJustice, the country’s leading advocacy organization for the rights of Latinos.  Jessica is also an active member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey.
