U.S. District Judge Paul Gardephe of the Southern District of New York on Thursday sentenced an attorney who filed fake lawsuits under the Americans with Disabilities Act to four years in prison, saying he “abused and subverted” the justice system.
“I believe that conduct like this presents an existential threat to our justice system,” Gardephe said.
