U.S. District Judge Edgardo Ramos of the Southern District of New York on Friday ordered that a lawsuit involving ex-New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and one of Giuliani’s former employees should return to Manhattan Supreme Court, less than a month after Giuliani filed to remove the matter to federal court.

Attorneys for plaintiff Noelle Dunphy, who has accused Giuliani of breaching her employment contract, violating labor and anti-bias laws and forcing her to engage in non-consensual sex acts, sought to remand the case, arguing that Giuliani and Dunphy are both citizens of New York and should litigate the case in state court.
