Attorneys representing three of the women who have accused former Gov. Andrew Cuomo of sexual misconduct have filed motions to quash subpoenas from Cuomo, arguing that they are irrelevant and unrelated to a lawsuit in the Eastern District of New York.

The lawsuit was filed in February 2022 by a former member of Cuomo’s protective detail of New York State troopers. The complaint emphasized that the plaintiff, an unnamed trooper, is one of at least 11 women who have accused Cuomo of sexual misconduct. Cuomo has denied the allegations.
