Law firm Napoli Shkolnik says it has every right to subpoena past employers of an attorney it claims it fired for “quiet quitting”—while the ex-partner alleges the firm is merely continuing its pattern of abusive and harassing behavior.

Napoli Shkolnik sued and then fired lawyer Heather Palmore last month, claiming she misrepresented her abilities in order to secure the job, and then failed to bring in the promised caseload.
