In his closing statement Monday in the federal trial of former Goldman Sachs managing director Roger Ng, defense attorney Marc Agnifilo of Brafman & Associates urged jurors to approach the testimony of Ng’s onetime boss, Timothy Leissner, with skepticism, describing him as a “one of a kind” liar.

Leissner, a former Goldman partner who pleaded guilty in 2018 to conspiring to launder money and conspiring to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in connection with the multibillion dollar 1MDB scandal, testified as part of a cooperation agreement with the government.
