Barry Garfinkel, the former head of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom’s litigation practice and an early attorney at the firm who helped shape it into an industry leader, died Sunday. He was 93.
Garfinkel had recently celebrated 65 years at Skadden and held a number of leadership and development positions at the firm over the years, including fostering the firm’s international arbitration group.
