The Clarkson Law Firm is continuing to bring lawsuits against CooperSurgical Inc. after its mass embryo loss, but the plaintiffs are worried about the future of in vitro fertilization after a controversial ruling.
On Feb. 16, the Alabama Supreme Court ruled that frozen embryos could be considered children, allowing wrongful-death lawsuits filed by couples whose embryos were destroyed in an accident at a fertility clinic to proceed.
