The Connecticut Supreme Court has ruled against operators of Chip’s Family Restaurants in what attorneys say is the first time the court has upheld class certification in a wage dispute involving servers.
The 7-0 ruling deviates from several lower-court decisions over the the past 15 years that have denied such class certification in other cases involving restaurant servers.
