    Clifford Chance (CC) and DLA Piper are among a raft of firms to have taken roles on Pfizer's $11.9bn (£7.4bn) sale of its baby food business to Nestle, reports The Am Law Daily. The purchase of the infant nutrition unit, which will give Nestle a bigger foothold in China and other emerging markets, has seen the Swiss food company turn to a Mayer Brown deal team led by M&A partners David Carpenter and John Boelter in New York and Chicago.

    Addleshaws to open in Singapore next month in arbitration push

    Addleshaw Goddard is opening its first office outside of the UK next month with the launch of a new base in Singapore. The office, which will open for business in May, will initially focus on international arbitration but could expand to become a fuller service offering in future. The base will be led by litigation partner Jamie Harrison, who joined Addleshaws as a partner from US law firm Winston & Strawn in 2009.
