A tire recycling facility and a concrete products manufacturing plant agreed to pay more than $200,000 in separate settlement agreements with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office over allegations of improperly managed stormwater runoff in violation of the federal Clean Water Act.

Consent decrees have been filed with the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and are pending court approval to settle allegations that Ayer-based FBS Tire Recycling Inc. and Rehoboth-based Nantucket Pavers Inc. violated federal law when they allegedly failed to comply with requirements that apply to discharges of industrial stormwater, according to an April 26 statement from the Attorney General’s Office.
