Apple Inc. claims game developer Epic Games Inc. is trying to change the narrative of its antitrust case against the tech giant in an appeals brief filed Thursday, which also seeks to recoup attorney fees and overturn a court order over external App Store payment options.

In the 115-page brief filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Apple’s Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher counsel address an appeal of antitrust claims from game developer Epic Games Inc. claiming Apple used anticompetitive tactics to monopolize the iOS app distribution and in-app payment processing markets, as well as its own counterclaims in the case.
