The ongoing fight between Philadelphia city officials and community members over a controversial statue of Christopher Columbus in Marconi Plaza went before the Commonwealth Court on Thursday.
The legal questions at issue before the three-judge panel centered on the method by which the statue’s attempted removal was approved, and George Bochetto, representing the statue’s supporters, used his arguments on appropriate process as an opportunity to take shots at the local government.
