Over 80 lawsuits against opioid manufacturers and distributors have been drawn in to Delaware County for consolidation since 2017, but after four and a half years with no trial dates set, the plodding timeline of Pennsylvania’s opioid litigation is leaving some plaintiffs frustrated.

“We have serious concerns about the pace and direction of the litigation and how it’s presently organized,” said Donald Haviland of Haviland Hughes. Haviland is representing Lehigh County and its district attorney, James Martin, as well as several unions, in their suit over the opioid epidemic.
