Berger Montague filed suit against Uber in Pennsylvania federal court Wednesday on behalf of a man who says the company refused to engage his services because of a prior criminal record that consisted of a summary offense.

The complaint, signed by Berger Montague senior counsel Jacob Polakoff, accuses Uber Technologies Inc. of two counts of violating the Pennsylvania Criminal History Record Information Act and seeks putative as well as actual damages from the ride-hailing company.
