Jackson Walker has filed a motion asking a federal judge to dismiss an amended complaint filed by a “serial plaintiff” who seeks to have the firm disgorge fees from a bankruptcy case overseen by former U.S. District Judge David Jones, who was involved in an undisclosed romantic relationship with a former Jackson Walker partner.

With Jackson Walker’s motion to dismiss filed on March 22, all of the defendants in the litigation filed by plaintiff Michael Van Deelen have asked to have the suit dismissed—Kirkland & Ellis, Jones, and former Jackson Walker partner Elizabeth Freeman.
