As lateral partner hiring continues to strengthen in Texas, Chamberlain, Hrdlicka, White, Williams & Aughtry, Vinson & Elkins and Winston & Strawn have each added partners in hot practice areas.

Houston-founded Chamberlain Hrdlicka, which has a significant tax controversy practice, hired former Internal Revenue Service Commissioner Charles Rettig as a shareholder based in California. In Houston, Winston & Strawn brought on Jones Day commercial litigator J. Laurens Wilkes as the firm’s chair of infrastructure and projects-global disputes, while former Vinson & Elkins energy and infrastructure partner Mark Brasher returned to the firm as a partner.
