David Giannaula of the University of Texas School of Law was chosen to be among The Skadden Foundation’s latest group of 29 public-interest fellows this year. Giannaula will spend his two-year fellowship at the Legal Aid Society of the District of Columbia in Washington, DC where he will provide direct, coordinated, and bilingual debt collection defense and bankruptcy assistance for low-income DC residents hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Also among The Skadden Foundation’s public-interest fellows is the first-ever fellow out of the University of Kansas School of Law.
