In an unusual rejection of government contractor immunity, the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a $22.9 million jury verdict against Hartford, Conn.-based United Technologies Corp. in a products liability action arising out of a 1993 crash of a U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter.
