Marshall Petitioners Seek High Court Help
More than 170 supporters of Georgia's John Marshall Law School -- including Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell and Rep. Bob Barr (R-Ga.) -- are trying to save the school from closing in two years. In an effort to help the school obtain ABA accreditation, the group is asking the Georgia Supreme Court to extend the Aug. 31, 2001, deadline by which the school's students have to graduate if they want to take the Georgia bar exam.
