A little less than three months after agreeing to represent Paul Ceglia on his claim to an ownership stake in Facebook, lawyers at Milberg LLP are asking a federal district court judge in Buffalo to allow them to drop the case. On Wednesday, Milberg and two other co-counsel firms—Calihan Law and Jones & Skivington—moved to withdraw as Ceglia's counsel.

Paul Ceglia has had a tough keeping his Facebook ownership claims from being completely derailed, what with his past lawyers at DLA Piper bailing out on the case, the judge ordering sanctions against him, and relentless allegations by Facebook's lawyers at Gibson Dunn that he's a fraud who forged core evidence. But Ceglia has proven once again that he can attract a national law firm to join his cause.
