Further reducing a $12.6 million jury award, a unanimous Connecticut Supreme Court panel found insufficient evidence of sex discrimination in chemistry teacher Leslie Craine's case against Trinity College. The California Supreme Court's decision to dismiss a major toxic tort case involving Lockheed Martin baffled appellate specialists and others who felt the court took the step of last resort for no valid reason.
