Artful lies, trusting co-workers and lax bank procedures allowed law firm Galasso Langione & Botter's long-time bookkeeper to loot a client's escrow account of more than $4.3 million, according to court documents and the bookkeeper's brother, who's a firm partner. Now the firm is suing its two former banks, its former accountant, and the alleged embezzler, who has pleaded not guilty to 22 charges.
