On Aug. 11, 2016, plaintiff Joel Lebeau, 67, was driving north on Interstate 81, in Ryan Township. Plaintiff Joseph Volonakis, 62, was a passenger. A vehicle rear-ended their sport utility vehicle. The impact pushed the SUV into a guardrail, and the SUV proceeded to roll down an embankment. Lebeau and Volonakis suffered injuries.
