Back-to-back Starbucks-related rulings involve tip-sharing and union discussions

On Wednesday, the National Labor Relations Board approved a settlement with Starbucks that stated that Minneapolis-area baristas can discuss union issues while on the job. The Minneapolis settlement came a day after a California appeals court overturned a judge's order that Starbucks pay $105 million in restitution to baristas who had to share their tips with shift supervisors.
