A New York family filed a lawsuit Wednesday against pet food manufacturer Menu Foods, seeking unspecified compensatory and punitive damages in connection with the death this month of the family's 2-year-old bull mastiff. Menu Foods has confirmed the deaths of 15 cats and one dog, and there have been widespread reports of kidney failure in other pets that have eaten the affected brands.
