Defense Wins Key Pharmaceutical Securities Cases

Pharmaceutical companies have scored several recent victories in securities class actions that have been clogging Boston federal court. The cases allege that companies, executives and officers violated disclosure requirements concerning U.S. Food and Drug Administration product concerns or investigations. Three such cases have been dismissed this year, and another was recently denied class certification. But a pending U.S. Supreme Court case could bring a new round of securities litigation.
