Profile: With an LLM from the London School of Economics, it is well settled at McElroy Deutsch that when the firm has a highly complicated matter, Di Giulio is the “go-to” guy. He is a senior associate in the firm’s commercial litigation department and concentrates his practice in complex commercial litigation, specializing in corporate dissolutions, professional liability actions against attorneys and accountants, municipal and local government litigation, securities litigation and estate litigation. He also routinely files and defends emergent applications for injunctive relief and has been appointed by various courts as a special fiscal agent and administrator. Some representative cases include Nuveen Mun. Trust v. WithumSmith+Brown, in which the Third Circuit affirmed the dismissal of a multimillion dollar legal malpractice complaint again a law firm client; and Donovan v. Bergen County Bd of Chosen Freeholders, in which the Appellate Division affirmed a judgment entered in favor of the county executive of Bergen County, providing her with significant powers over county operations. Di Giulio is also currently representing one of the nation’s largest distributors of pork products in a multimillion dollar breach of contract dispute with one of its former suppliers in federal court, and representing the former personal advisor to a decedent in an international dispute over a multibillion dollar estate. He is a mentor to the firm’s summer and first-year associates, a member of the firm’s hiring committee, and a member of the firm’s web marketing and publication committee. Finally, Di Giulio is part of management team for Survivor Summit, a nonprofit that seeks to lead cancer survivors and their supporters on life-altering journeys, including a summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
