A 69-year-old university professor partially replaced by a 62-year-old made a prima facie showing of age discrimination, a New Jersey appeals court ruled on Monday.
The panel reinstated a suit filed by Marion Cohen, who claimed the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey discriminated against her based on age, in violation of the Law Against Discrimination, after her teaching contract was not renewed in 2009.
