A newly created affinity organization, The Jewish Bar Association of New Jersey, officially launched last week with a roster of leaders from such firms as Genova Burns and Sills Cummis & Gross, among others.

JBAR’s mission is to support Jewish law students and to promote both young attorneys and established members of the bar through legal education, mentorship, advocacy, networking, resources and profile-raising initiatives. Membership in the organization will represent a wide range of demographics, practice areas and firm sizes across New Jersey, according to a news release issued by JBAR. The organization will also include a Young Leadership Division and a section dedicated to women’s issues.
