With the unanimous New Jersey Senate approval of 12 judicial nominees Monday, Senate President Nicholas P. Scutari declared that the judicial vacancy crisis is over, but New Jersey State Bar President Timothy F. McGoughran didn’t share the same optimism, yet.

In a 38-0 vote, the Senate unanimously confirmed the nominees, who were previously passed by the Senate Judiciary Committee in meetings, which took place March 7 and 14. The majority of the nominees are headed to Bergen and Passaic counties, which have experienced among the highest vacancies on the bench over the past few years.
