Bergen County Assemblywoman Ellen J. Park, an attorney and the first Korean woman to be elected to the Legislature, will fill the vacant Assembly Judiciary Committee chair position after its former leader, Raj Mukherji, D-Hudson, was elected to the state Senate.
In January, Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin named Park as the committee chair for the current 221st legislative session. Park has represented District 37 in Bergen County since 2022.
