New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy continued his crusade against the Manhattan Central Business District Tolling Program, this time critiquing the “rushed plan” to the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority and again during a public hearing Monday.

Murphy submitted his formal, written comments in a letter dated March 4 to the TBTA, the entity responsible for setting the tolls for New York City’s congestion pricing scheme, according to a new release issued by the governor’s office. The letter said that the toll scheme violates New York state law and demonstrates that the Metropolitan Transit Authority is taking shortcuts to rush the plan through.
