An associate with a Manhattan law firm was reprimanded in New Jersey over his financial recordkeeping and an impermissible firm name he used while working as a solo practitioner in Manalapan, both of which were revealed during a 2016 random audit.

Evan D. Weiner, currently an associate at Sheeley in Manhattan, was charged with a formal ethics complaint for having violated four Rules of Professional Conduct while practicing law under the name Weiner Legal Group in New Jersey, according to a decision by the Disciplinary Review Board. Weiner gained admission to the New Jersey bar in 2012.
