In a published opinion, the New Jersey Appellate Division upheld a trial court ruling granting the County Prosecutors Association of New Jersey’s motion to dismiss a complaint by the American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey to compel disclosure of documents.

On July 19, 2019, the ACLU submitted records requests to CPANJ for meeting agendas, funding records, briefs filed by CPANJ in state and federal courts, and any policies or practices shared with county prosecutors. In a Sept. 18, 2019. letter, the CPANJ denied access to the records.
