Hunton Andrews Kurth partner Armin Ghiam has entered an appearance for Abacus Pharma International and other defendants in a pending trademark infringement lawsuit. The suit, filed April 14 in New Jersey District Court by Lowenstein Sandler on behalf of Access Bio Inc., accuses the defendants of selling counterfeit COVID-19 tests which infringe on Access Bio’s ‘CareStart’ brand. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Georgette Castner, is 3:22-cv-02203, Access Bio, Inc. v. Api Vaccines, LLC et al.
