The New Jersey Supreme Court ordered a municipal court judge who partly blamed her inexperience for her ethical missteps to be suspended for at least 10 months without pay for multiple violations of the Judicial Code of Conduct, including ex parte communication with a defendant who appeared before her and cursing at a court administrator.

The order, signed Feb. 9 and made public Tuesday, follows the recommendations made by the Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct last September regarding the fate of Judge Aishaah Rasul for violations that occurred within the first two months of her becoming a judge.
